5 Days in Paradise

Week of Sept. 8th through Sept. 13th

Mykonos is probably one of the most celebrated islands on Instagram. Beginning from the early spring of 2017, the media was bombarded with iconic and mesmerizing pictures from this typical Greek island named after a local hero. The white buildings and streets together with the blue, red or green painted doors and windows make for a perfect eye-catching picture, which obviously attracts many followers to engage in your posts. Few know the meaning after these three colors, which according to a local blog the blue doors and shatters belonged to sailors, the green ones to farmers and the red to other inhabitants of the island. No surprise that many big Instagram influencers and not only, stormed the island with their crews and cameras, giving it a tremendous international exposure. Although, Jackie Kennedy knew better and way before social media was born.

So to see what all the fuss was about, we decided to visit the "IT" island of the year. Together with my partner-in-crime and best friend, Reita (CEO and founder of Senstylable) had the honor to be guests at one of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels visited so far. Cavo Tagoo Mykonos made our experience even greater than expected. Greek hospitality is well known worldwide and Cavo Tagoo made no exception. But what caught the most our attention was how perfectly each corner of the resort was curated. Details prevailed the whole atmosphere and everywhere we laid eyes on, there was a worthy piece of art. Such a great symbol of the Myconian refined taste for art but also of its free spirit. The golden doors and the private pools were my absolute favorite part.

Culinary experience is never disappointing in Greece, no matter where you go. Having said that, parties, drinks, music and people are what makes this unique place be what it is. We are so looking forward to going there again, and until then, we will try to save the sweet taste of our visit there for as long as possible.

Can't thank enough Cavo Tagoo for having me and Reita Hackaj for making this happen!
